I think i recently titled one of my post "identity".. this is part 2 i guess!

When i reached home after church, i took a nap..
But in my head i was thinking many things till i didn't nap at all!
And somehow this thought came to me..and it made a lot of sense to me!
so i wanna share it with you guys :)

You know sometimes we like to judge ourselves or others how good/avg/bad a christian we/they are? or like this person is soooo holy, or i don't think i'm ready for this and that, etc

so how do we know who are the good, holy and ready Christians?
Is it because they spend a lot a lot of time reading the bible, they talk about God everywhere they go, they pray everyday, they serve in so many ministries, or they always have visions?

and who are the avg, bad, not ready Christians?
Is it because they don't do their quiet time, they are not regulars in church, they smoke, they are gays, they don't serve in any ministry, or they swear a lot?

But you know all i mentioned above and etc, are standards set by this world.
We are not holy because we don't spend time with God, or because we committed a huge sin etc
We judge others and ourselves on how a good and holy christian we are according to the standards set by this world!

E.g.
some of us we don't accept gay christian or gay churches, because we know being gay is a sin rite?
so we say they are not good christian, etc
but you see how many of us don't sin?
when we get angry, when we gossip, when we judge others, we already sinned!
So what make us (straight people) to be a "better" christian then gay Christians?

I'm not supporting gay or anything.. the point i wanna make is..
We shouldn't let the WORLD define who we are!
We should let GOD define who we TRULY are!
God said we are made holy and righteous!
God said we are his BELOVED child!
In His loving eyes, there are no good/avg/bad Christians!
All of us are "holy cows"! HAHA..

It is when we fully recognize who we are IN CHRIST, we will start to live that victorious life!
And when we are in that personal r/s with God, the HS will convict us of our righteousness, and we are empowered not to sin, and thus we will want to become more like Christ!

If we keep comparing ourselves to the standard set by this world (or the laws and practices)..its gonna be real Tough to reach the so called "holy" stage.. that's what i personally feel!
If i were to compare myself to the world's definition of what is holy and good christian..i will fall under avg or even bad category? how sad is that..

That is why we need to recognize God's grace upon our lives!
He have already made us pure, holy, and righteous!
He have sent all of us out to reach out to this world, not only the holy and good ones..he sent YOU!

so i just wanna encourage u guys that, know your rightful place and identity in Christ, and the rest will follow suit!

Don't let the standards set by this world stop you from doing great things for God!

You are who God says you are!

Encounter again!

Because yesterday i got so encouraged to go to the streets, i went.
But sadly, i did not get to pray for anyone because i was pretty self conscious and got no courage.
I saw this guy with one long one and short leg walking towards me..But i just walked pass him!
So i kept walking walking..hoping to see that guy again..!
anw..i went home after a while longer feeling super super SUPER sian!

Is really super sian..

so after a few hours slacking at home..i decided to ask God to give me another encounter with him!
I prayed and ask for a verse
First i saw "Luke", then i saw "7", then i saw "13"
So God gave me Luke 7:13
Before i flip to the bible..i said "see if my current internet tab got any "13""
and i saw! the only 13 on the current tab! Confirmation!

I opened my bible read Luke7:13 and i got a shock! like..omgosh~~~
God, you are really so real and loving!

When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.”

WOW!
God was comforting me!
Right that moment..all the sian feeling left me!
I was just left so amazed by God!

Furthermore, i read the whole of chap 7..the first story in chap 7 mentions "authority", "faith", and "healing"!!

everything is just timely and super accurate with my life now!

i am no bible reader..me and bible are like acquaintance.
not that i'm proud of that..
the point is..there is no way in my own knowledge i could get to the 2 verses God led me to..
which just means it is GOD!!

I'm just loving Jesus more and more now!
I want to encounter him everyday man!

and after reading the verse..
Out of curiosity I went to check my other 2 internet tabs (FB and Gmail) to find any "13"
and you know what..those 2 tabs got no "13" at all!

The KEY of DAVID!

I just had a super encounter with God!!

Okay..I have been having stomach aches every time after I eat
I decided to fast and pray during dinner time to pray against this constant ache

So i worshiped, prayed, and start asking God to show me something, be it a verse, vision, or word
I waited for quite long, with no music nothing.. till I almost fall asleep!
So anw, "Isaiah" came to me, then I asked God what chapter and verse
At first I thought to myself.."ok, look at my iPhone timing to get the chapter and verse"
But i felt is not..so i waited longer till i saw "22"
Next i asked God for the verse..but nothing came..i just see "22"

I took my bible and flip to Isa 22, but before i read, i roughly said to myself "ok, check my iphone to see if there's a 22" for like a confirmation
I looked at my clock first and saw it was 8:25, then i checked my iphone and it was 8.22!!
so yup tt was definitely a confirmation on what i'm about to read!

Before i continue what God spoke to me.. i wanna share another confirmation!

I was sharing this with Yangcheng, so before i started i wanted him to read the bible verse i'm sharing on..but i didn't notice when i read..so i took my bible flip to Isa 22..look for tt verse..and YOU KNOW WHAT..its VERSE 22!!
So i guess all the while God was just pointing me to Isa 22:22..that's why i didn't see any numbers other den "22"..
GOD is so real man!

So i read the whole chapter a few times, cos i didn't really understand..besides reading chap 22..i read a few other chapters in the book of Isaiah with the word "Jerusalem" in the heading, trying to understand..
I read online commentaries too, and one of them points me to Rev 3:7 which almost the same as Isa 22:22
When i flip to Rev3:7, it was already highlighted! another confirmation!

Isa 22:22
I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

Rev 3:7
These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

So i spend super long(8:22pm to 11pm) trying to get what God is telling me..
and finally i got it!

so from the 2 verses, whoever holds the key of David..both isiaish 22 and rev 3 says that he can open doors no one can shut, and shut doors no one can open.

How to get this key?
God will choose who He wants to give it to. (Isa 22:20, He chose this guy called Eliakim)

If u read the v20 onwards, the key represents authority.
Then i read this commentary..he said in today's time..when they want a change of government power..the will give a large key as a representation..so is about authority.

So in today's time, we are all chosen by God rite?
which means we all have the Key of David.

so why is it called key of David?
David was a man after God's own heart
why is he a man aft God's own heart?
He brought the ark of covenant..which is God's presence into the heart of Jerusalem
so that people can worship all day and night.
God's heart is to be in the midst of his people rite?

and we look at David's history
because he was a man after God's own heart
he conquered one city aft another
In 1 Chronicles 18, "The Lord gave David victory wherever he went." appeared a few times
and so similarly..in today's time, as we already have this key of david rite
what is the other part of the equation to have victory everywhere we go like David did?
it is to be in his presence all day n night, to be a man aft God's own heart

So God's presence + key of david = conquering cities..open doors no one can shut, shut no one can open

so God is teaching me to be in his presence 24/7 and with the authority he have given me..i can conqure cities after cities

Which is SUPER timely for me, because recently I am super pumped up by the power God have given me.
I watched many testimonies by young youths and young adults going out and healing people, clearing floors of hospital patients!
and I wanna do the same, and experience it myself instead of just watching people's testimonies!
We serve the same God rite?

so anw..

to me, open doors no one can shut means..
i go to this person..open the door of his heart..pray for him, heal him, prophecy over him, etc and no one can stop me from healing him, no one can stop me from ministering to that person

So what is shut doors no one can open..
means when i pray for healing and that person is healed..that person is completely free from that sickness
and so "shut" means healed, its done..no one can open the door put back the same sickness in him.

and this is just referring to one person
imagine is the whole Ang Mo Kio, whole singapore, whole world!
once we God chosen ones goes out and minister..no one can shut that door, no one can stop us from conquering city after city!
and once we leave and move to another city..that city we just left who is filled with God's presence, etc no one can open
Like in Isa 36 and 37, the enemies was going to attack Jerusalem, but because of the king's faith in God, Jerusalem was protected completely from their enemies!
So once the door of that city is shut, no enemies can even go near the city!
cos we do everything in God's authority
which is the key of David

Sooo..
God is affirming me to go out to the streets, not be afraid, not feel inadequate, because I have the key of David that i can open doors no one can shut, and shut doors no one can open!!

bought a new camera! CANON S95!
for normal photo taking, i still prefer the color that my old camera SONY cyber shot shoots.
The color from canon S95 looks rather pale even with vivid color settings.
The good thing about S95 is their macro effect and other special effects.
I have yet to fully try out all functions and i believe i never will..Hahaha

IDENTITY

This kind of spoke to me recently! so wanna share it!

Who am I?

Many times we hear what the world says about us, the names they give us and we take it to heart.
Sometimes is not what others say, but what we think we are.
We take it to heart, we forget our true identity and sometimes we don't even bother finding out who we truly are..

E.g. "you are lousy", "you can never make it", "please be realistic", "you are nobody", "backslider", "gossiper", "loner", "I am selfish", "I'm an accident child", "I'm so stupid!" and the list just goes on and on.

But all these are not who we are!
You are who God says you are!

God says you are his beloved child, dearly loved!
The devil will never tell you that you are God's beloved children! Because if he says that, his evil plans won't succeed! His evil plan is to make us go around being upset about who we are, if only we could be this and that, and never fully knowing the truth about who God says we are.

When we know this truth about who we are in Christ, we have assurance, we are comforted, we have joy and we have confidence living this life that God will always be by our side no matter what happens, He will be for us and never against us!
We will begin to live the victorious christian life instead of a defeated life when we fully believe that we are who God says we are!

Now just wanna address certain common things we hear.
1) Backsliders

If you realize, the bible never once called the prodigal son a Backslider!
God address him as "the lost son"
So who are we to give people names when clearly in the bible, God calls the "backsliders", "Lost".
We may not mean harm to call people "backsliders", but we never know how hurt that person might get being called "backsliders"
For me personally, when i hear "the lost son", i can feel God's love for that son, because he still address him as "son", and "lost" in the dictionary just means "Unable to find one's way: a lost child", but when i hear "backsliders", all i hear is condemnation.

So for those who are lost, I just wanna say our heavenly Father still loves you and is still waiting for you to come back! :)

2) Please be realistic!

Hahhas..I did say this to people and myself before! But i realized its another lie from the devil!
How can we be realistic when we know God is able to feed the 5000 out of 2 fish and 5 loaves, turn water into wine, heal the sick, raise the dead, part the red sea, calm the storm etc, etc
All these miracles are SUPER unrealistic, but yet God is able!
So to really think about it, it's quite contradicting about our faith if we really say "please be realistic".

And finally, I always hear, and i agree..who are we to judge others when we haven't remove the plank in our own eyes.
I'm not saying i don't judge others at all..I still do.

But anw, my pt is..let's save our energy to know and find out who God says we are, instead of spending the time to judge others or beat ourselves down!

You know the movie Jason Bourne, the picture above! The world gave him another identity and he live quite long under that identity, but somewhere in the movie he wants to remember who he really is, and fought hard for it..so likewise, we are given different identities, and we should also fight hard to know our true identity. The good thing is.. we don't have to fight or anything, we have the Word of God that tells us directly our true identity!

I am who God says I am! You are who God says you are!

Found this from the internet and think its very useful to remind us of our TRUE identity!

So who does God say I am?

• I am a child of God.
• I am a branch of the true vine, and a conduit of Christ’s life.
• I am a friend of Jesus.
• I have been justified and redeemed.
• My old self was crucified with Christ, and I am no longer a slave to sin.
• I will not be condemned by God.
• I have been set free from the law of sin and death.
• As a child of God, I am a fellow heir with Christ.
• I have been accepted by Christ.
• I have been called to be a saint.
• In Christ Jesus, I have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.
• My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells in me.
• I am joined to the Lord and am one spirit with Him.
• God leads me in the triumph and knowledge of Christ.
• The hardening of my mind has been removed in Christ.
• I am a new creature in Christ.
• I have become the righteousness of God in Christ.
• I have been made one with all who are in Christ Jesus.
• I am no longer a slave, but a child and an heir.
• I have been set free in Christ.
• I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
• I am chosen, holy, and blameless before God.
• I am redeemed and forgiven by the grace of Christ.
• I have been predestined by God to obtain an inheritance.
• I have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
• Because of God’s mercy and love, I have been made alive with Christ.
• I am seated in the heavenly places with Christ.
• I am God’s workmanship created to produce good works.
• I have been brought near to God by the blood of Christ.
• I am a member of Christ’s body and a partaker of His promise.
• I have boldness and confident access to God through faith in Christ.
• My new self is righteous and holy.
• I was formerly darkness, but now I am light in the Lord.
• I am a citizen of heaven.
• The peace of God guards my heart and mind.
• God supplies all my needs.
• I have been made complete in Christ.
• I have been raised up with Christ.
• My life is hidden with Christ in God.
• Christ is my life, and I will be revealed with Him in glory.
• I have been chosen of God, and I am holy and beloved.
• God loves me and has chosen me.

GRACE & LOVE!

I just felt like blogging on this topic.
I have no bible verses to prove what i'm saying here.
But i know what i believe is true, and can be found somewhere in the bible, just that i'm too lazy to go find out..Hahahahas.

you know, after i understood this truth about the new covenant grace, about God's love..
I am really EXCITED to see how God can move in my life, to live that victorious life many talk about.
and I am very glad that I have friends that encourages me, and share the same beliefs.

Last time, i never never understood how much God loves us.
Even though it's been preached many times, i never could fully understand God's love.
But now, i grasp hold of this TRUTH that...

God loves us for who we are, and not for what we do
We can't earn God's love because God's love is freely given.
We are cleansed from all sins, free from guilt, and that all our sins are forgiven because of Jesus Christ who died on the cross, to pay the price for all human mankind.
We are sinners saved by Grace!
The moment when Jesus was crucified on the cross and said "it is finished", it is the moment when we humans come under God's grace, where we do not need to follow the law that was established before.

Why we don't have to follow the law?
Because we humans are incapable of following every law that was laid out.
If we are still under Law, the consequences of sin is death.
What so amazing about God is that....
God understands and know that we are incapable of following every single law, thus sending his Son Jesus to die on the cross, and set us free from all sins.
Not only free from sins, but from the penalty of death! Furthermore, God gives us ETERNAL LIFE!
WOW rite? Awesome rite?
This is how much God love us man!

You know when i finally grasp hold of this truth rite, I just feel different in a good way.
like I said earlier, I just can't wait to see and receive the overflowing blessings from God!
I can't wait to see how my life can be when i fully understand that we are now living under the new covenant grace.

and I really hope many of us out there can soon realize this truth!
It's a scary thought that many of us don't know.. some of us may know about God's grace, but we still don't entirely understand and believe.

you know, many of us say things like "he is preaching too much on grace", "preaching too much on blessings", "this prosperity preacher again....."
my questions is what is too much?
It's like your father say i will give you 10 million dollars.
Then you reply and say..oh 10 million is too much..just give me 1 million.
Why ask for something less when you know clearly that you can receive so much more!
If you really think about it, it's really silly for anyone to reject that 10 million dollars rite? Hahahas

anw anw..hope u understand what i trying to say through this messy post! HAahas..

to end of i just wanna say..

God loves you for who you are, not for what you do.

e.g. (this e.g. is from what i personally believe before)
You prayed before a taking an exam. You got back your results, and got a Distinction!
What does this mean?
When you prayed before the exam, in your heart you tell yourself that, "I better pray, if i don't pray i won't get good grades"
So you believe that you got good grades because you prayed before taking the exam, and subsequent exams, you believe in praying before taking the paper in order to get better grades.

But nope! you get good grades because GOD LOVES YOU!
You didn't get good grades because you prayed!
It is NOT your works that God loves you..It is YOU that God loves you!

please don't argue with me about, it is because i studied that i get good grades.
that is not the point i trying to bring across..just an e.g..may not be the best e.g.

so anw Remember..

God loves you FOR WHO YOU ARE, NOT for what you do!

Saying a joke is perfectly alright, but not a joke with hidden meaning, shooting people.
You are a pastor, so please watch what you say to your members, especially when it offends them.
If you are really that unhappy with your member's actions (which seriously, I don't think is your problem either), please say it up front and be straight forward, don't use such low/childish methods to state your displeasure.

Service was aweesome today!
Services have been soooo good that I want to share, don't mind do sharing in cell!
If you know me, i really HATE doing word..but not anymore!

Dear Lord,
I just want to uphold all my friends to You,
I pray that you will keep all of them safe from sickness or any form injuries, etc,
Life is so fragile, so i pray that your hands of protection will be upon all of them.

Its so awesome that i will nod my head many times and auto say "Yup, Yup, Yup" in agreement with the pastor.
Last time, i dont think i ever did open my mouth willingly! Hahahas..

hope Ps Wayne can be a special speaker at Bethel for church camp or service!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

Day 1!
This year, I decided to wear all red, to get into the cny mood. I think it really helps!
With this mood, i wanna watch "Da Shi Jie", a local movie!
Which normally i will never want to watch. Wanted to watch with my bf and his Dad, but the only slot available is 1230am!
Sooo didn't watch, if not i have to cab home alone..

Ate a lot today also. Lunch, tea and dinner!

After visitation, went to meet YangCheng, we headed to Clark Quay :)
We took trishaw from CQ to City Hall Mrt!
Was quite fun, windy and the Uncle was really cute!

Day 2!
went to my aunty's house to eat lunch! yumyum..
Love all their vegetables! ate there yesterday too!
Going to eat lunch at my aunty's house again tomorrow :))

after, travelled down to YC's to bai nian :)

Update!

How would you feel if one day...

One fine day, Amanda, a single mother, finally gave birth to her child, Jack.
As faithful as she can be, she took care of Jack, till a point when she was too busy with other work and commitments in her life to cope with Jack all alone.
Therefore, Amanda let her very good friend Janice to help her with the responsibilities of the child, like a God- Mother. Janice also like children, and thus willingly agreed to help.

As time past, Janice had a bond with Jack, and felt like Amanda's child was hers.
Janice decided to take subtle actions, to tell Jack that she was his real mother instead.
Janice was successful in doing so, and one day she took Jack away from Amanda.

Months later, Janice too was busy with other commitments, and decided to let outsiders who sign up with her to take care of Jack when Janice is busy.

Friends of Janice and Amanda who roughly knew what had happened, told Amanda, : "Hey, why you never sign up to be part of Jack's life?"

Amanda felt like a total outsider, feeling her child wasn't hers anymore when she was the one that bare those painful 9 months, but there's nothing much she could do, but to let Janice claim all the rights as the biological mother, bringing up Jack.

How would you feel if one day you have to apply to just to be part of your child's life, not as a biological mother, but an outsider, when you are the biological mother all along...

I just don't see a good reason why..

Being offended causes me to not respect you leaders
not that my respect is very important to you, but if this can happen to one member, it can happen to many members out there as well.. who knows rite?

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2011

2010 have been a awesome year! mainly 3 things..
1) Got a loving Boyfriend :)
2) New experience of living in Brisbane!
3) My Bestie received salvation!!

Thank God that both my besties in the same church, loving the same God!
Its really nice to know that my most important friends are saved:)

Thank God for his hands of protection over me when i was in Brisbane!
I never once fell sick! seriously thank God! i can easily fall sick last time..but my stay in bris was surprisingly healthy! I guess is the lack of unhealthy singapore food that prevent me from getting sick easily.

Thank God for keeping the relationship with Yangcheng!
I would say LDR isn't as bad as what many thinks..
prolly because is only 2 hours difference in time
And i wanna thank those that gave us their support, encouragement and prayers!

Thank God for friends that i can still hang out with despite the lack of communication!

Thank God for awesome loving Parents!
Going overseas to stay, allowed me to see the love of my parents very evidently..
So thank you!

Service was awesome today!
And i wanna share it with u guys!
The preacher didn't had pt forms, so I'm trying my best to put forth this.

Special speaker from US, Ps Joe preached on the prodigal son. (Luke 15:11-32)
But he really gave me a new insight to this commonly shared story from the bible.

Jesus was sharing this story to the tax collectors, "sinners", Pharisees and the teachers
So imagine the setting, where all gathered around to listen to this story

¹¹Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. ¹²The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.¹³"Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.

At that time, to do such a thing is really shocking and cant be tolerated.
So you imagine everyone there was like "uhhh! how could such a thing happen!?"
and then Jesus continued the story on what happen to the younger son

¹⁴After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. ¹⁵So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. ¹⁶He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

then you know everyone will be like or whispering to each other, asking "What's gonna happen to him? Will he die?"

¹⁷"When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! ¹⁸I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. ¹⁹I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.'

At that time, they believe in restitution, so the younger son thought that, since I did such a unfilial act, i will not call myself as your son, but to be your servant, to repay what i have done..

²⁰So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

at that time, people don't really run for anything, so that act of running really portrayed something significant. He ran because he wants to be the first person to greet him, bring him home, and not any servants to do that.

²¹"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'²²"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. ²³Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. ²⁴For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.

I cant really remember this part, i think the ring represents the status of a son, robe and sandals are things that a servant will not have. So the father gave him this 3 items, to tell people that he is still my son. And how often at that time will they kill a FATTENED calf, and feast.

And also, imagine the listeners were like.."what?! after such incident, you still can throw a feast for him?!"

²⁵"Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. ²⁶So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. ²⁷'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'

²⁸"The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. ²⁹But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. ³⁰But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'

From the language used by the older brother, you can tell that he doesn't really have an intimate relationship with his father and his younger brother. He uses words like "slaving", "Orders", "this son of yours"

³¹" 'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. ³²But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "

Because the older brother felt so distant, never did he knew that everything the father had was his and the father love him as much.

When Jesus shared till here, imagine the listeners were thinking "so which side is Jesus on? the younger or older brother?"

But abruptly, the story ends.

So what is Jesus really trying to say?

Quote from Ps Joe "Everything is wrong, Everything is Love"
neither side was right..but still the Father love them both

There are two kinds of people
1) People that follow the rules and expectations (Older Brother)
2) People that choose freedom, and do whatever they want (Younger Brother)

When something happens,
the one that follows the rules and expectations, will use this as a leverage to expect something better for himself/ herself.

For Example, Ps Joe shared his story about his father, who was diagnosed with cancer,
and he was asking God, "my father has been serving you for so many years, loving you, being a faithful christian, why is this happening to him?"

But you know, it's really not because of what we do, that God will love us more;
God love us, because he love us.
It is that simple
God's Love cant be earned, because it is freely given by God

Just like the older brother, he claims he have obeyed and done so much, but yet did not get anything in return. But all the while, the father still love him despite how much he have served.

For people who choose freedom, when they realized they chose the wrong path, they feel guilty, they wanna turn back, but they don't dare to receive God's love in full. They don't realized that God loves them because God loves them.

When Ps Joe was young, he and his parents went on a road trip.
When they stop by somewhere to eat, his mom told him not to bring out his favorite cap down, because she knew that he will leave it at the restaurant.
But as a young 9-year old boy, he did not listen.
After lunch, they took off to continue their road trip.
45 mins later, Ps Joe touch his hair, and realized that he left his cap at the restaurant.
He immediately said out loud, "I left my cap at the restaurant!"
The father then took a u-turn and drove all the way back to get the cap for Ps Joe.
The father did it because he Love his son, and not because he wants his son to love him more.

so like the younger son, he disobeyed and left home, and when he returned, the father welcome him as a son, throw him a feast, and just love him so much.

so either you are like the older brother, or younger brother..
God love us no matter what we do!

"Everything is wrong, everything is LOVE"

How can we check if we are either one?
Ask yourself a few questions..
The only question i remember is
"when you are in trouble, do you pray more? do you read God's word more often?"

If your answer is YES..fret not..just wanna let you know that it's not because of our works that God love us more, but is just because GOD LOVE US :)

Anw today my pastor said something real cool! at least to me its cool..

He said something like..

If you go into book stores, you can see a lot of books on how to be successful
and they teach things like you must be aggressive, sometimes you have to be manipulative, etc

But as Christians, if we wanna be at the top, we must learn to serve
just like Jesus, he know that he is the Lord of lords, the messiah, but he chose to humble himself and serve..

and like how some of the authors of letters to the church in the bible addressed themselves

"James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are in the Dispersion: Greetings. "
"Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,.."
"Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness"

and Mary, whom God chose to let her give birth to Jesus..
If it was me..i think i will be super proud of it! ahahhahahs
But Mary also choose to say "I am the Lord's servant,"..

They chose to say that they are a servant..

the cool part is..

so to be successful as Christians, it is INVERSELY PROPORTIONATE!

Why do we go church?

Some of us may think, even I myself had this thought that
Is alright not to go church
I can just read the bible, spend time with God alone at home everyday

So why do we go church?

My pastor gave this illustration 2 weeks back

One person holding a sword to fight a battle alone
He can only see what's in front, no one is there to protect his blind side
But if 2 person, each holding a sword to fight the battle together
Both is protecting each others' blind side

So like wise, we should live Life together with our christian friends,
so to keep us less vulnerable from the devil's attack

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work; If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

I've got a 20% assignment due next Monday~
I barely started! Pray that i got motivation to do, and do it well!

Reggie Dabbs came my church today!
His saxophone is super good!
I think i can sit there whole day to hear him play mans..

I slept at 5am, woke at 9am, yet i didn't fall asleep during sermon

"See my hands, see my feet, it is I"

"Do you really love me? Do you really trust me? would you give me your life?"

He shared this story, so here it goes (roughly)
I'll just name the daughter Amanda.

There is this family, 1 daughter and her parents.
It was Amanda's 13th birthday, the Father decided to plan a surprise party for her.
So Mom brought Amanda to school earlier, and before she got off the car, Mom gave her a pearl necklace that Amanda always wanted from Mom's collection.
Amanda got so excited and ask "Can i wear it to school?!"
Mom replied " Of course!"
So off Amanda went to school.

She walked to the canteen, and saw banners and decorations for her birthday.
It was her father's surprise for her.

She looked around for her father, but he was no where to be seen.
The father was at the teacher's office. So Amanda went to the office to find her father.

The father told Amanda "Your Mom met in a car accident, and went to be with the Lord"
Amanda was devastated.

During Amanda's 14th Birthday, she had her party and all.
Before going to bed, the father asked Amanda "Do you love me?"
Amanda replied " Yes i love you daddy"
Father asked "Do you trust me?"
Amanda said "Yes i trust you daddy"
Father asked "would you pass me your pearl necklace?"
Amanda straight away said "No!"

Amanda's 15th Birthday. She celebrated as well.
Amanda's father asked "Do you love me?"
Amanda replied " Yes i love you daddy"
Father asked "Do you trust me?"
Amanda said "Yes i trust you daddy"

Amanda's 16th Birthday.

Amanda's 17th Birthday. Amanda decides to spent it at home.

Amanda said "Yes i trust you daddy"
Father asked "would you pass me your pearl necklace?"
Amanda said "Yes"
and she gave him the necklace

When Amanda passed the father the necklace, the father took out another pearl necklace and gave it to Amanda.
He said "If mom was here, she would want you to have the real pearl necklace that you wanted from mom's collection, i kept this for 4 years, each year i wanted to give it to you, but you didn't want to let go."

So like wise, in our christian life
God will always ask us "Do you really love me? Do you really trust me? would you give me your life?" in exchange for the real deal! the life that God wants us to have.

Must hear him say the story, den can really feel..my story a bit distorted!

UPDATES ABT LIFE HERE AT BRISBANE :)

So far, everything is cool here, besides an annoying & troublesome housemate.
Things aren't that smooth sailing as i thought it should be.
I am adapting well and am not home sick or love sick. HAHA

I am also learning how to cook, clean the house, wash clothes, iron clothes, etc
basically being more independent!
Which i feel all of us international students should work towards to when we are here alone.
And not like what my previous previous post said, depending on others to settle things for you.

I can't wait for the day i can cook a good meal man!
My friends out there that i promised to cook for..just wait for a DELICIOUS MEAL when i'm back at the end of this year!

School work is making me more stress than any other thing else.
So far, everything that happened isn't really stressing me, only my studies.

when i heard about American Idol, i was thinking if any of those that does covers on YouTube will join. People like AJ Rafael, Cathy, Andrew Garcia, etc

and during the preview i thought i saw Andrew Garcia, and i got quite excited!
usually when I watch television, i won't say a thing, will just laugh if its funny
but as i was excited, I said "ehhhhh!~"

Went there without any expectations
was regretting signing up for church camp the day b4
However, i set some expectations during church camp

The sermons didn't speak to me at all

when i heard it on the radio a few months or weeks back.. i also felt the same!

These are the only 2 secular songs that i can feel so much for!
